A reason to write. A duty to care.
Good sales work respects the person receiving it, the facts behind it and the owner directing it.
Updated · NayakBusiness work, responsibly
Nayak is for legitimate business work. Scout’s principle is “No reason, no email.” A relevant reason is a quality standard; it does not itself establish a lawful right to collect data or send a message. The product agreement must specify the rules that apply to actual Scout access.
These expectations explain our intended use boundaries and apply to interactions with this marketing website. They are not a substitute for the laws of your location or the recipient’s location.
Research with a legitimate basis
Use sources and data that you have the right to access and process. Do not bypass a login, paywall, access control or a provider’s restrictions. A publicly visible detail is not unrestricted permission to reuse personal information.
Do not upload stolen lists, credentials, private correspondence or sensitive personal information unrelated to the business task. Keep observations, interpretation and unanswered questions separate. Do not turn an inference into a verified fact.
Send truthful, relevant messages
Do not impersonate someone, invent a relationship, fabricate a buying signal or disguise the sender’s identity. Do not create deceptive urgency, fake reviews, fabricated customer results or misleading performance promises.
Respect applicable consent, identification, opt-out and suppression requirements. Honour a recipient’s refusal and do not use a different account to work around it. Relevance does not excuse harassment or bulk unwanted mail. Verify the rules that apply to your markets before outreach.
Keep account access authorised
Only connect systems you are authorised to use. Inspect requested permissions, protect account credentials and confirm who can approve a proposed action. Do not share tokens, circumvent usage limits or attempt to access another customer’s data.
Review claims and recipient details before authorising a message. Product permissions and the extent of autonomy must be explicit in Scout; this website’s examples do not grant sending authority.
Prohibited conduct
- Fraud, phishing, malware, scams or unlawful discrimination.
- Harassment, threats, exploitation or attempts to obtain sensitive information through deception.
- Security bypasses, service disruption, unauthorised scraping or extracting another user’s information.
- Intellectual-property infringement or unlawful processing of personal data.
- Manipulating consent, hiding charges or using Scout to make unsupported regulated claims.
