State the outcome, then the limits.
Start with what you want to change in the business. “Find ten names” specifies a quantity but says little about quality. “Find independent food brands launching a packaged product and explain which ones we could help” gives Scout a reason to judge the list.
Include the people you do not want to contact, the claims you will not make, and any limits on pace. A specialist should work inside those boundaries, not discover them after a mistake.
Give enough context.
Scout needs to know your offer, ideal customer, relevant proof and voice. Your website can be a starting point; a short conversation can fill gaps. Correct a detail that is wrong before it becomes the basis for a prospect or message.
Inspect the reason.
A name without evidence is only a name. Ask what Scout observed, where the information came from, and what remains uncertain. The source should support the observation, and the proposed approach should follow from the observation without adding facts nobody checked.
If Scout cannot make that connection, the useful next action may be more research rather than an email.
Correct the work in plain language.
You should not need a complicated settings screen to say “we do not serve large chains” or “make this shorter.” Change the brief, the shortlist or the draft where you notice the problem. Then check that the revision reflects what you meant.
Remembering a correction is valuable only if the next piece of work improves. Look for that change, rather than taking a polite acknowledgement as proof.
Keep the external boundary clear.
Research and drafting happen inside the workspace. An email reaches a real person. Check the recipient, the facts, the tone and the active send permissions before allowing that step. Start by reviewing Scout’s work. Give a product more responsibility only when its controls support it and you are comfortable with the work.
Return later to see what is complete, what is waiting and what decision matters next. A clear record makes it easier to change direction without starting from the beginning.
